29th MAJ
Replicating the model of traditional art salons, Mostra de Arte da Juventude (freely translated as Youth Art Exhibition) is one of the main cultural events in the countryside of São Paulo. In order to provide visibility to the production of emerging artists, MAJ presents a panorama of young contemporary art and offers educational activities for the audiences of Sesc.
In 2019, Polar was responsible for developing a visual identity to celebrate the 30th anniversary edition of the event. The graphic system, which was intended to reinforce the festive character of the show, sought to simultaneously honor the new talents on which MAJ shines light and the city of Ribeirão Preto, its home since the first edition. The identity is carried out by a set of graphic elements that can be interpreted as sparks, stars or suns, representing the moment of expansion of the artists' careers and celebrating the powerful sun that lighten and warms the city.
